For 1000 years Slovakia constituted a part of Hungarian territory. It existed as Czechoslovakia since1918, and, since 1.01.1993 it has been a separate country of Slovakia with the capital city of Bratislava. Despite its multi-century dependence the Slovaks retained their national identity, language and traditions.
The exceptionally picturesque country (Tatra and Pieniny Mountains, Slovak Paradise) fascinate visitors who come here for the first time and encourage frequent guests to come back.
