For 1000 years Slovakia constituted a part of Hungarian country. Since 1918 it has existed as Czechoslovakia and since 1.01.1993 - as an independent country Slovakia with the capital city in Bratislava. In spite of its ancient dependence, the Slovaks have retained their national identity, language and traditions.
Slovakia is an extremely picturesque country (Tatra Mountains, Pieniny Mountains, Slovak Paradise), wonderful monuments, resorts and thermal waters enchant those who come here for the first time, as well as encourage regular guests to frequent come backs.

Belianska Cave
Belianska Cave is third largest Slovak cave (in twelve available caves) and the largest cave in Tatra Mountains. It lies in the western part of Belianske Tatras on the side of Kobyli Vrch mountain. It was discovered in 1881, made available for tourists in 1882 and electrified in 1986. The route is as long as 1270 m, with 860 stairs including 160 steps up and 700 down. The height difference between the entrance and the highest point of the cave amounts to 112 m. The sightseeing lasts 70 minutes, and the temperature inside reaches 5.3 °C. 6 chambers of the cave are open to tourists.

Štrbskié Pleso 1335 m
Since 1885 the town has had the status of a health-resort. It is a perfect starting point to the Tatras and its great skiing conditions attract a lot of tourists and skiers. Štrbskié Pleso lake (fifth largest Slovak Tatra tarn) has the surface area of c.a. 20 ha and depth of c.a. 20 m.

Tatra Mountains
They are the highest and most magnificent mountain massif of Alpine type between the Alps, and the Caucasus and Ural Mountains.

The soaring peaks and wonderful landscapes evoke the impression of uniqueness. Therefore, it is said that "the mountains are silent, but they call you. He who once loves them will always want to come back to them".
